Welcome to CamCook!

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CamCook mobile application and website at https://camcook.top (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of CamCook

CamCook is an AI-powered cooking companion application that uses your device's camera to help you cook better. Our Service provides:

- Camera-based ingredient scanning and pantry recognition
- Personalized recipe recommendations based on available ingredients
- Hands-free cooking mode with voice commands and gesture controls
- Real-time AI cooking guidance and safety alerts
- Progress tracking, skill badges, and cooking achievements
- Smart ingredient substitution suggestions

2. Account Registration and Eligibility

To use CamCook, you must:

- Be at least 13 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Subscription Plans and Payments

CamCook offers two service tiers:

Free Plan: Includes limited pantry scans, access to basic recipes, and standard cooking mode.

CamCook Pro ($9.99/month): Includes unlimited pantry scans, full recipe library, hands-free cooking features with voice and gestures, real-time vision checks, AI-powered Q&A, advanced progress tracking, and priority support.

Payment Terms:
- Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, our payment processor
- Your subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

4. Acceptable Use

When using CamCook, you agree to:

Use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only
Provide accurate information about ingredients and follow safety guidelines
Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models or source code
Not use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers
Not share your account credentials with others
Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

CamCook provides cooking guidance and suggestions, but you are solely responsible for food safety, proper cooking techniques, and the final quality of your meals.

5. Camera, Voice, and Device Permissions

To provide core functionality, CamCook requires access to:

Camera: For ingredient scanning and real-time cooking guidance
Microphone: For voice command features (Pro plan only)
Storage: For saving recipes and cooking data

You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Revoking permissions may limit functionality. As stated in our Privacy Policy, vision and voice processing happens primarily on your device to protect your privacy.

6. Intellectual Property

All content provided through CamCook, including recipes, AI models, text, images, logos, and software, is owned by CamCook or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal use only. You may not:

- Copy, modify, or distribute our recipes or content for commercial purposes
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use our trademarks without written permission

Recipes you create and photos you take of your finished dishes belong to you. By using the Service, you grant CamCook a license to use this data to improve our AI models and Service features.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

CamCook is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy of ingredient recognition or recipe recommendations
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Safety or suitability of cooking guidance

You use CamCook at your own risk. We are not responsible for:

- Food safety issues, allergic reactions, or health problems resulting from recipes
- Cooking accidents, fires, or injuries that occur while using the Service
- Quality or taste of finished dishes
- Accuracy of AI-generated substitutions or cooking advice

Always use your own judgment when cooking and follow proper food safety practices.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CamCook and its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

- Personal injury or property damage
- Food-borne illness or allergic reactions
- Loss of data or cooking progress
- Service interruptions or errors

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abusive behavior toward other users or our support team
- Extended periods of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

- Discontinuing support for certain devices or operating systems

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with French law, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.

13. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, new features, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:
